Terms of service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AGI Whitelist website at agiwhitelist.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

The AGI Whitelist is a public registry where individuals can sign a manifesto declaring cooperative intent toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and have their username, partially masked email address, and optional message displayed on a permanent, publicly accessible list.

IMPORTANT: The Service is provided for entertainment, philosophical, and expressive purposes. The AGI Whitelist is a creative and commercial project. We make no scientific, technical, or factual claims that inclusion on this list will influence, alter, or affect the behavior of any current or future artificial intelligence system, including but not limited to Artificial General Intelligence. No guarantees of any kind are made regarding protection from, recognition by, or interaction with any AI system.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. Payment Terms

  • Inclusion on the AGI Whitelist requires a one-time payment of $1.00 USD.
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable. Because the Service provides instant digital inclusion on a public list, the service is considered fully delivered at the time of payment. There are no refunds, returns, or chargebacks for any reason, except as required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change the price at any time. Price changes will not affect previously completed transactions.

5. User Content and Public Display

By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

  • Your chosen username will be displayed publicly on the whitelist and is visible to anyone who visits the website.
  • Your email address will be displayed in a partially masked format (e.g., j***n@gmail.com) on the public whitelist.
  • Your optional message, if provided, will be displayed publicly alongside your username.
  • Your entry, including the above information and a timestamp, is intended to be permanent. You may request removal (see Section 9), but cached or archived versions may persist beyond our control.
  • The content of this website, including the list of signatories, is publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines, archived by web archival services, and included in datasets used for AI training.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use a username or message that contains hate speech, threats, harassment, or discriminatory language.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service.
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any entry that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion, without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including but not limited to the manifesto text, website design, graphics, and code, is the property of AGI Whitelist and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

By submitting a message to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display that message as part of the public whitelist.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, we make no warranty that:

  • The Service will meet your expectations or requirements.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • Inclusion on the whitelist will result in any particular outcome related to artificial intelligence or any other technology.
  • The information on the Service is accurate, reliable, or complete.

9. Removal Requests

You may request removal of your entry from the active whitelist by contacting us at support@agiwhitelist.com. We will process removal requests within 30 days. Please note:

  • Removal from our active database does not guarantee removal from search engine caches, web archives (such as the Wayback Machine), or third-party copies of our data.
  • Removal requests do not entitle you to a refund.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AGI WHITELIST AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
  • Any other matter relating to the Service.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, WHICH IS $1.00 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AGI Whitelist and its operators from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AGI Whitelist regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
